Independent Film
Festival
With more than
100 Official
Selections,
including movies
and screenplays,
the SoCal is
only growing in
2008. Last
year, we had
filmmakers from
all over the
U.S. as well as
a wide
representation
of international
filmmakers from
Puerto Rico,
Canada, Mexico,
South Africa,
Germany,
England,
Australia and
Denmark.
Many SoCal
Official
Selections have
gone on to find
success through
commercial
distribution, as
well as
accolades on the
festival circuit
(in festivals
such as
Sundance), and
even as Academy
Award nominees.
